The My Chai WA Story

At My Chai WA, we believe chai is more than just a drink—it’s a ritual, a moment of pause in a busy world.

For years, I worked in high-pressure operational roles.  While I thrived on the challenge, I also craved something to help me slow down and reconnect.

That’s where chai came in.

​

The ritual of making masala chai—grinding fresh spices, brewing with care, savouring each sip—became my way to pause and be present. But when I looked for a chai that truly met my standards, I couldn’t find one. I wanted something that was:

• Full of rich, authentic flavours

• Made with sustainably sourced, organically certified ingredients

• Free from any additives, sweeteners, and fillers

• Crafted with the highest environmental and ethical standards

 

Since I couldn’t find it, I decided to make it myself. I started blending my own chai and after almost five years and many, many variations later, I feel I have developed an amazing tasting chai.  Beautifully balanced flavours and a brewing process that honours the tradition while delivering an deliciously smooth finish.  When I shared it with friends, they loved it.  After many nudges to sell it, My Chai WA was born.

 

​Beyond my love for chai, I also wanted to build a life that allowed me to spend more time with my family and friends. Starting this business wasn’t just about creating the perfect blend; it was about demonstrating to my kids that it’s never too late to start new adventures and follow a dream.

What Makes Our Chai Special?

 

Every batch of My Chai WA is hand-crafted in small quantities to ensure the highest quality and consistency. I only use certified organic ingredients sourced from sustainable and ethical suppliers.  The result?  A chai that’s not only better for you but also better for the planet. Even our packaging is 100% home compostable, because every little choice matters.

I also developed a Thermomix-friendly brewing method that ensures a perfectly balanced chai without the risk of burning milk (because let’s be honest, I get distracted easily—hello, neuro-spicy life! 😊). Plus, it creates a beautiful frothy texture for that barista-style experience at home.
